Mrs. Janet Smith RN BSN - NCLEX Coordinator

Janet graduated Summa Cum Laude from Radford University, Virginia with a BS in Nursing.  After graduation, Janet was commissioned as an officer in the US Navy and had the opportunity to experience numerous healthcare settings.  Over the next nine years she lived throughout the US and abroad working as a nurse at Camp Lejeune Naval Hospital, North Carolina; Okinawa Naval Hospital, Japan; Bremerton Naval Hospital, Washington; and Health Services Department, British Indian Ocean Territory, Diego Garcia.

During Janet’s military career, she earned national Certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN) qualification and instructed Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Trauma Nursing Core Course.  Additionally, Janet specialized in trauma nursing through an externship at Harborview Medical Center, a Level 1 Trauma Center in Seattle, and obtained her qualification as a Flight Nurse at Brooks School of Aerospace Medicine in Texas.

With all of Janet’s international experience both in nursing and teaching, she is undoubtedly an essential member of the Adevia team.  Janet works closely with Kaplan’s NCLEX-RN preparation division and has assisted hundreds of nurses with passing the NCLEX on their journey to the USA. 

Janet works out of the company’s Scotland office and lives with her husband and border collie, Findlay.

Mr. Neil Edwards - Placement Co-ordinator

Neil has a Diploma in Business and Finance and has nearly 10 years of experience in healthcare recruiting, working with nurses and doctors both internationally and domestically. 
Neil began his career as a permanent recruitment consultant, placing doctors and nurses into hospital positions through a large, well know agency in London.  Neil excelled in his position, increasing revenue for the division significantly and was quickly promoted to Team Leader.  Neil then moved on to international recruitment, securing another position as Team Leader and again through his success in sales & leadership skills, was quickly promoted to Branch Manager.

Neil has a passion for travel and has visited the US several times for both business and pleasure.  With such a strong knowledge base about the lifestyle in the US, he was enthusiastic about continuing his career in international recruitment.  Since joining the Adevia team as the Placement Coordinator, he has assisted numerous nurses with finding and accepting their ideal US nursing positions.

Neil is happily married with a charming 4 year old son who likes it when Daddy comes back from business trips with presents.

Ms. Wendy Dunk - Transition Specialist

Wendy is truly an international nurse, British by nationality she has lived and worked throughout the world.  She started her nursing career as a registered nurse working in theatre and nursing education in South Africa.  Wendy then changed direction into Human Resources and Business Management where she was the Human Resources Manager for a large hospital for more than ten years.  Wendy returned to the UK where she secured a position as a Nurse Recruitment Consultant for a well known London agency.  She excelled in her position and was responsible for successfully developing and managing an audit tool for assessment of personnel files to ensure their compliance.

Wendy subsequently decided to use her experience to assist nurses with fulfilling their dreams of working in a new country.  Wendy now assists hundreds of nurses with reaching their goals of working in the US, as Adevia’s Transition Specialist. Wendy is in an ideal position to do this, as her professional experience together with being a Life Coach, she understands of all the challenges of relocating and settling in a new environment.

Wendy enjoys travelling and is planning to hike the Inca Trail in Peru with
her daughter this year.
